Dr Victoria L Keevil is a Consultant Physician specialising in Medicine for Older People and currently works at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. She is also an Honorary Visiting Fellow at the Institute of Public Health (University of Cambridge).
Dr Keevil originally completed her medical degree at the University of Oxford, is a member of the Royal College of Physicians (London) and later obtained an MPhil in Epidemiology and a PhD at the University of Cambridge as a Wellcome Trust Clinical Training Fellow.
Alongside her clinical work looking after older adult inpatients on an acute hospital ward, Dr Keevil is interested in clinical measures of frailty, polypharmacy and prescribing in older adults and using ‘big data’ to better understand the characteristics and outcomes of older hospitalised patients, with the aim of improving healthcare services for older adults. She also supervises undergraduate medical students learning biostatistics and research methodology.
