The Institute has ample bicycle parking which can be found at the rear of the car park. The area is under cover and has secure railings to lock your bicycle.
There are also changing facilities within the building should you require them.
By public transport
The Guided Bus route A runs between Trumpington Park & Ride and St. Ives via Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge station and Cambridge city centre. This bus will drop you close to the Institute on Dame Mary Archer Way. Ask the driver to let you out at the Rosie Maternity Hospital. This is an excellent, quick way to and from the station and much cheaper than a taxi. Further details
The Universal Bus, route U, operates between Eddington and Addenbrooke’s, via Cambridge station. A flat fare of £2 is charged, £1 for holders of a Cambridge University ID card. Further details
The Babraham Road Park & Ride bus operates between central Cambridge and Babraham Road via Cambridge station. The walk to and from the Institute and the Babraham Road Park & Ride site is about 20 minutes. The walk from Addenbrooke’s Island to the site takes about 5 minutes. Further details
Car parking at the Institute is restricted to permit holders only, there is an automated barrier preventing unauthorized access.
There are only six visitors’ spaces which must be booked in advance. To enquire about availability, please contact the person arranging your visit.
Visitors’ bays are clearly marked and are on the left hand side as you look at the building’s front entrance. You may park in any of these spaces if you have reserved a space.
An alternative, when no visitors’ parking is available, is the multi-storey car park at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. It takes about five minutes to walk to the Institute from there.
