The Public Health: Research into Policy project seeks to highlight and expand engagement between public health researchers and policymakers.
Cambridge Institute of Public Health (CIPH) and the PublicHealth@Cambridge Network connect public health researchers from across disciplines at the University in order to improve public health.
Policymakers form a critical group of stakeholders for public health researchers because they control some of the key levers for the improvement of public health and wellbeing.
In January 2016, CIPH and the Network launched the Public Health: Research into Policy project to explore ways to strengthen links between public health researchers and policymakers, building on existing successes and relationships and aiming to identify and respond to the needs of both researchers and policymakers.
The Public Health: Research into Policy project was devised by academics, former policymakers and communications experts who sit on the steering group and guide the project.
The steering group chaired by Professor Mike Kelly.
