The four-year programme is developing an integrated public health approach to optimise health in older age groups. It builds on four building blocks: a) risk prediction and stratification, b) synthesis and development of evidence about current practice and equity, c) identification and evaluation of preventive interventions tailored for gains in health and well-being, and d) population modelling. The programme, which is led and coordinated from Cambridge, consists of six core projects, a cross-cutting cognitive health theme, and 32 collaborators from all SPHR member institutions.
